At the heart of this space is Krista Dodson—a visionary hairstylist, educator, and wellness-driven entrepreneur with over 26 years behind the chair. Krista is the founder of Kinspired Co., a luxury hair studio built on the belief that beauty should be intentional, healthy, and deeply rooted in care.
Krista’s journey began with hair artistry—precision cutting, dimensional color, and styling that enhances natural beauty. But more than 15 years ago, a personal health scare in her early 30s shifted everything. It led her to question the ingredients she was using daily and the long-term impact they had on the body. That moment became the catalyst for a deeper path—one grounded in education, herbalism, and a holistic approach to beauty that honors both results and well-being.
Kinspired Co. was created as an extension of that vision: a space where hair services are elevated, chemical-conscious, and thoughtfully customized to the individual. Every service is rooted in artistry, education, and long-term hair health—not trends alone.
As Krista continued to deepen her knowledge, she discovered what was often missing in traditional hair care conversations: the scalp. This led her to advanced scalp facial training and ultimately to becoming East Texas’ first certified scalp specialist and becoming a Founding Franchise Owner with The Scalp Lounge USA. That evolution aligned seamlessly with The Scalp Lounge USA, where scalp health is treated as the foundation of healthy hair.
Today, Krista’s vision lives through both brands—working in harmony. Kinspired Co. remains the home of elevated hair artistry, while The Scalp Lounge USA – East Texas serves as the dedicated space for luxury scalp health and wellness services. Together, they offer a complete, intentional experience—supporting both the hair you see and the foundation beneath it.
